Moldfactory provides value-added services through the application of modern
technologies such as Moldflow simulations for part and mold designs, Moldflow
MPX setup and optimisation system for tool setup and optimisation and Moldflow
Shotscope system for production control and process management.

engineering specifications at highly competitive prices, Moldfactory strives to
achieve a high level of customers’ satisfaction.
Moldfactory has built a total of 130 productions molds for automotive lightings
in the past 15 months and are running production for current models of GM, Rover
and Chrysler cars.
Moldfactory is able to achieve consistent mold and part quality through the
proper use of the latest simulation, mold optimisation, process control and
production management tools.
Moldflow Analysis
Equipped with the latest Moldflow plastics CAE technology, Moldfactory is able
to confidently assure her customers that their molds and products are optimally
designed and manufactured.
To ensure optimal part design, changes are suggested early on in the design
process by studying the flow analysis. Detailed studies on the plastic material
flow, optimal cooling channels design, in mold part warpage and shear stresses
are provided.
All these simulations are performed on the computer before actual machining
takes place, thereby avoiding costly reworks. Design of experiments are
performed to optimize injection molding parameters.
Process Monitoring and
Production Management
Moldfactory utilizes the Moldflow MPX setup and optimisation for tool setup and
optimisation and Moldflow Shotscope for production control and process
management.
Advanced technology provided by Shotscope is used to perform design of
experiments and optimize all its molding process. It is able to acquire,
analyze, store and report process and production information, and this allows
Moldfactory to conform to and satisfy the requirement of archiving accurate
process data of some quality management standards.
All processes are controlled, adjusted and monitored in real time utilizing the
statistical process control and statistical quality control capabilities
provided by the Shotscope system.
The resulting process stability, shorter cycle time, reduced downtime and scrap,
improved machine efficiency and better plant utilization allow Moldfactory to
deliver consistently good quality parts on schedule to its customers at
competitive pricing.
